Weekly Events
At the Hawthorns, weekly events, include; Open Mic and Curry Club.
Open Mic
9pm Tuesday is Open Mic night at the Hawthorns. If you write your own songs, like singing other people's, meeting local musicians or just fancy sitting back and listening?
Then why not come and join us in the relaxed, friendly atmosphere of the Hawthorns Hotel.
Curry Club
Thursday is Curry Club night at the Hawthorns, each week we bring you an authentic taste of a specific curry region. Regions we cover include; Goa, Kashmir and Punjab to name a few! At the Hawthorns we try to explore a different region, every week.
Owner and chef Simon will bring you five dishes, two vegetarian, two meat, and a fish dish, served with popadoms, pickles, rice and naan bread!
Curry night is just £12.45 *
Not just any curry, Simon's Curry Club Curry!

Other Events
Slightly less regular events include; Music Nights, (featuring: Sleeping Dogz, Wild Willy Barrett and John Otway) Art Sales and Themed evenings.
Music Nights
Simon puts on regular top quality music nights at the Hawthorns.
Music nights feature artists such as; John Otway, Chris Jagger and the band Sleeping Dogz featuring Wild Willy Barrett. At present Simon is managing to have this star studded line up 2 / 3 times a year.

Art Sales
At the Hawthorns we have a fine selection of local arts and crafts including; paintings, jewellery, figures, cards, photography, unique woodcraft, and furniture. All the local artist's are permanently on display around the Hawthorns and available to view throughout the year.
We have periodic sales, where you can meet and chat with the artist and buy some of the original art work created by local artists, including work by Wild Willy Barrett.

Themed Nights
The Hawthorns often has themed events which include; Belly dancing nights, Egyptian night, Psychic Fayre and of course the usual... St Patrick's night, Halloween, St George's night and Valentine's day.
